Hi, I’m Latrina Patrick and I appreciate that you’re taking the time to find out more about me and what I do.

When I entered the grant writing field back in 2001, all I had was a sincere desire to help faith-based organizations find funding to fulfill their mission. Despite my lack of experience, it was something I felt compelled to do.

After a few years of working with faith-based and community-based nonprofit organizations, I decided to start my own consulting firm. In 2005 I created Greater Vision; it wasn’t until years later that it became Greater Vision Consulting.

Our mission is to equip individuals and organizations with the knowledge, skills and confidence to accomplish their professional goals by offering innovative training, program development, and grant writing services.

My Bio
I have a diverse professional background that spans across community and faith based organizations, as well as state and federal agencies. As a Grant Writer I have successfully written proposals for submission to private foundations, corporations, state and federal funding agencies.

As a sought after reviewer, I reviewed grants for the Georgia Dept of Education, the Georgia Department of Human Resources, the Administration of Children, Youth & Families, and the Substance Abuse Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

I have conducted dozens of grant writing workshops in community and corporate settings. These grant workshops range from basic to advanced levels.

In addition to my consulting business, I’ve served as the Program Director for several community based organizations, including New Horizons Community Service Board, Citizens Against Meth, and the Georgia Meth Project. My niche is nonprofit leadership and implementing community programming, especially in the areas of youth and substance abuse prevention services.

Finally, I proudly served in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman from 1989-1993. My last two years in the Navy I became certified as a Psychiatric Technician, which gave me my initial experience in the field of mental health and addictive diseases.

I obtained my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Troy University in Phenix City, Alabama. I obtained my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio/TV/Film from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. I also obtained my Certification as a Grants Specialist from Research Associates in Columbia, South Carolina.
